- 11 – 14 — Door County Sea Kayak Symposium , this is the 10th anniversary!
- 18 – 21 – Great Lakes Sea Kayak Symposium, the grand daddy of the Great Lakes sea kayak symposiums.
August 2013
- 15 – 18 — Irish Fest (what can I say?) My favorite of the summer festivals, love the music and the drink!!!
- 15 – 18 – Ladies of the Lake at Drummond Island Michigan
September 2013
- 20 – 22 — ACA Coastal Kayak Instructor Certification Exam brought to you by Rutabaga Outdoor Programs.
- 27 -29 — National Paddlesports Conference, Bend Oregon, brought to you by the American Canoe Association (ACA).
October 2013
- 11 – 13 — The Gales Symposium
- 23 – 27 — Sea Kayak Georgia Skills Symposium and BCU Week ,Tybee Island Georgia
February 2014
- Date TBD — Kayak Camp with Ben Lawry brought to you by Rutabaga Outdoor Programs. Note: the “camping” is done in a house just a hop, skip, and a jump from the beach! Beautiful sunrises, waters and beaches. Loads of fun and lots of learning!!!
March 2014
- 7 – 9 — Canoecopia in Madison, this is the “up ramp” to the paddling season (though for some us the season never ends, it just slows down a bit)
